Here's a quick preview of Meredith and Tanner's wedding today. It was a good good time. This was the last shot we took before we left around 5:15pm.
To all you photogs out there, the image is straight out of the camera. 35mm lens, 1/40 second shutter, f/1.8, and one flash fired off-camera. Me love mixed light long time. Enjoy.

A farm is a magical place to a child. It's like the Disneyland of all things agricultural. As a child, you read stories about pigs that are friends with spiders, you play with plastic tractors and farm animals, you drink lots of milk and eat lots of eggs. When you visit a farm, all those stories come to life.
My grandfather had a farm. A big farm. Going to grandma and grandpa's house was always so much fun. As soon as we got there, I'd quickly run out and start exploring. I'd spend hours looking at my grandpa's tools, crawling through the hidden passages of the barn, chasing the horses around the pasture and rummaging through his junk piles.
Fast forward 20 years. Farming is still very much in my family and I'm darn proud of it. My cousin Matt has a sweet farm in the foothills of Payson, UT. He invited the family over after Christmas for some fun in the snow, on the farm, the way it should be. With a 1946 Ford 9N Tractor, a quad and 3-wheeler, plus some sleds, we had a killer time. We even started a fire in an old oil barrel. It was agro-radness at its finest.
Big thanks to my cousin Matt and his wife Jenny for hosting such a great time on the farm. Happy New Year. May all of your wildest dreams come true.
This last picture is of me. My cousin Matt was kind enough to let me take the tractor for a spin out in the field AND snap a photo of me tearing it up. It reminded me of my Grandfather. I loved every minute of it.

What if you unwrapped your presents on Christmas morning and found a TIGER inside? How about a white TIGER?
Every year, my roommates and I do a little Christmas Card. I like you all a lot, so I thought I'd share it with you. If any of you would like a high-rez version to print out and hang proudly on the fridge, send me an email and I will grant you you're wish.
Merry Christmas from the Villains.

I'm leaving town tomorrow for UT to be with family for Christmas. I plan on strategically allocating my time between the couch and the ski resorts - I CANNOT WAIT! And maybe a brief stop at Cafe Rio to refuel.
But......I wanted to post a few quick images from Kyle and Rylie's awesome wedding before I leave. Jess and I shot this one on Saturday and it was super rad. Any bride that rocks COWBOY BOOTS with her dress is a winner in my book.
As I look back on 2009, it has been a great year. A lot has happened and I've seen my business grow like I never expected. I truly have been blessed with some amazing clients who have trusted their most precious moments to me and my lens. I thank you all for your support and checking in from time to time. I have the greatest job in the world and I'm looking forward anxiously to 2010.
If any of you happen to be riding Park City before and after Christmas, hollar at me. I'll be there making it rain with my snow-sliding-shredstick device. I wish you all a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

Melissa has an awesome son - Jackson. Melissa also has great style and ideas, like shooting their portraits in a Christmas tree lot. WIN!!!
I don't think Jack sat still for more than 2 seconds, but we had a really good time chasing him around the lot with a camera. He tied himself up in twine, tied his mother up in twine, tied me up with caution tape, tried to squirt me with the hose, and hid behind the Christmas trees. We had a great time.
I posted the last image because I think it is hilarious. Jack was running all over the place and then started to hide from me under his mom's dress. Then he started to run. Then the fabric put him to stop. Then I snapped the photo. WIN WIN!!!!
